1 point PPR Listener league – Week 12 review.
The 5 Yard Rush All but one playoff position has now been filled, 4 still fight for the one remaining spot and only 2 fight for the regular season championship as we head to the final gameweek.
In a big game that had a lot riding on it for both teams we start with 1st place Dermy (Taco Corp) against 8th place Stocks and Murf (The 5 Yard Rush Podcast). There was nothing the 5 Yard Rush boys could do as Taco Corp went over 200 points to get the highest score of the week and stay at the top on 10-2. 5 Yard Rush stay in 8th on 4-8.
2nd place Martin (Lucky Fantasy Guy) needed to keep the pressure on Taco Corp and that’s exactly what they did. They got a close win over 11th place Jamie (NorthWealdPats) and stay second just a game back with one to play. NWP could have done with a win here as they are level with 8th place but still find themselves in the running for the last playoff spot.
3rd place Dave (The Jazz Purists) had to win both their remaining games and hope for other results to go their way. They managed to get the first win after beating Shaun (Team Spedding) this week but because the top two teams won they are officially out of the running for the regular season championship. Spedding are another team in the running for the final playoff position and stay in 9th on 4-8
4th place Jacob (Team JBarner) got an easy win this week against 10th place Pittsy (Pitts Burk Stinkers) who put up woeful score and the lowest of the week. Lucky for them the teams around them also lost which keeps them in the running for the final playoff spot. JBarner go 8-4 as the Stinkers join the other 3 playoff hopefuls on 4-8.
5th place Ethan (ETurnerFF) eventually claimed a playoff spot with a win this week. They got the win against last place Rich (Pats20Chad). ETurnerFF stay 5th on 7-5 whilst Pats20Chad stay 12th but drop to 2-10.
Finally we had a 6th v 7th battle as Matt (Brady-o-GaGa) and Tyler (Long Live ’76) battled it out. The win went to LL’76 which was a good result for both teams due to other results as they are both now officially secure in the playoffs. The teams now swap places as LL’76 sits in 6th on 6-6 and Brady-o-GaGa drops to 7th also on 6-6.
1 final game to go. Until then, Keep rushing
