Dynasty Waiver Wire – Week 11

So, week 10 was fun! In places, things went back to the status quo with a few big names going nuclear. As usual, we are going to go into the depth of our dynasty waiver wires for a pickup or two. Let’s find a few gems to use rest of the season or stash candidates to take you forward in future.

Darius Slayton – WR – New York Giants – 56% rostered

Slayton appears to be the Giants WR1. He has now returned double digit PPR points in four of the last five outings and those returns would be enough for three WR2 performances on the week. Where available, he should work as a nice spot start in week 11 where the Giants face off against the Lions.

Ben Skowronek – WR – Los Angeles Rams – 49% rostered

With Cooper Kupp picking up an ankle injury in week 10, someone has to pick up to slack on the ailing Rams. Surely Allen Robinson needs to step up now, but if not we’re looking at Van Jefferson or Ben Skowronek. They ultimately have to throw to someone and as much as he isn’t a replacement for Kupp, he is the next best thing in terms of what they have at present.

Austin Hooper – TE – Tennessee Titans – 49% rostered

Prior to the Titans week 6 bye, Hooper had not scored more than four PPR points in a game thus why he is now sitting at only 49% rostered. However in the last two matchups Hooper has accrued ten targets and in week 10 he managed five catches for 41 yards. The ceiling isn’t quite here but he is a known name and someone who could work as a fill in if he is available.

Trent Sherfield – WR – Miami Dolphins – 10% rostered

Usually a 3rd wideout on a team isn’t a place where we can find a usable starter. But it appears that in the Dolphins we have Sherfield. Tua is playing well and the offensive line is giving him the time to find his receivers. Sherfield has had 25 targets in his last seven outings, so four targets can be the expectation. If he can covert those – combined with his yards per catch on the season being at 11.2 – he could just be usable if you are in a bye week pinch. The touchdown catch was a highlight too, which could see Tua increasing his trust in Sherfield.

Tanner Hudson – TE – New York Giants – 9% rostered

Eight targets in two games with Daniel Bellinger sidelined has meant that Hudson has been a top 20 tight end in consecutive weeks without getting into the end zone. I’m looking at Hudson as a reasonable floor play with touchdown upside.

Jack Stoll/Grant Calcaterra – TE – Philadelphia Eagles – both 0%

With Dallas Goedert slated to miss time, one or both of these two guys are set to have an increased role. Stoll has more usage this season so probably gets my nod but much like the James Mitchell/Brock Wright situation in Detroit it’s a punt in the hope that they see some of Goedert’s vacated targets.
