Dynasty Waiver Wire – Week 7
Welcome to the week 7 dynasty waiver wire! Are you wondering who to put waiver claims in for? I’m here to give you some names, and a little food for thought, of who your dynasty pickups should be this week. As always, all rostership numbers are from Sleeper.
Parris Campbell – WR – Indianapolis Colts – 57% rostered
This is all about the usage on Sunday vs Jaguars. Matt Ryan had a big day and so did his three top wideouts. Campbell played every offensive snap and had 11 targets – catching 7 of them. He has been on the field a lot this season, seeing the field on over 75% of offensive snaps in 5 of his 6 games, yet this is the week his targets spike.
I dropped Campbell in a few places, as did others; thus, he is now available for those who gave up on him. Swallow your pride here and stash him for a couple of weeks. You’ll kick yourself if he does end up as a viable week-to-week play as we felt the time would come on a few occasions.
Jake Ferguson – TE – Dallas Cowboys – 42% rostered
Jake Ferguson was one of those names you saw in the offseason but just didn’t have the roster space to slide him into your squad. The idea that first year tight ends take a long time to get up to speed is no doubt ringing in your ears as you decide whether to stick the likes of Jeremy Ruckert, Charlie Kolar or Jake Ferguson into your final taxi spot.
Well here we are. Maybe a week too late in a few leagues on Jake Ferguson. He looks good! He is getting plenty of snaps, over 50% in last two games in Dalton Schultz’s absence. If he can cement a place in the Cowboys plans, he could get work this season. He could even be looking having a viable shot at being their starter in 2023 if things fall a certain way – with Dalton Schulz needing a new contract.
Taylor Heinicke – QB – Washington Commanders – 24% rostered
Last week I put PJ Walker on here and I’ll admit: that was a dart throw that did not pan out. Yet here we are again! Jumping into the QB injury roulette wheel hoping for someone to carry you through the bye weeks as a viable QB2 play. Last year Heinicke gave us seven 14+ point games, and only one game with less than nine points where he played full games. Which puts him like any starting QB as a viable SuperFlex play with a safe enough floor. He’s unlikely to thrill but with the weapons around him now including Curtis Samuel and Jahan Dotson, we should be aiming for some mid QB2 performances from Heinicke. Well worth a waiver claim.
With Wentz out for around 5 weeks he might just get you over the hump for a couple of byes weeks coming up
Cole Turner – TE – Washington Commanders – 12% rostered
At 93% snap share in Logan Thomas’s absence, you could do worse than stashing Cole Turner in leagues with deeper rosters. He did only receive two targets so is the deepest of deep stashes, but one to consider and see how he goes in coming weeks.
Dante Pettis – WR – Chicago Bears – 6% rostered
Can’t say we didn’t give you someone who was available with Pettis on this list! Pettis had a nice game getting seven targets making the most of these with 81 yards and a TD on 4 catches. It seems for now he could be reliant on getting that one deep shot. If he can become a potential 15+ point play every so often, he could well be worth a punt as his floor could naturally improve as he takes his big play opportunities. We have been asking who the Bears would use at receiver and, maybe, just maybe Pettis is the deep dynasty waiver pickup you need this week!
Highly owned targets (50-75% rostered)
Here’s a few players it’s worth having a check if they are available in your leagues. They are all between 50-75% rostered on sleeper dynasty leagues. If they are available stick a strong FAAB bid in for them as could turn out to be strong dynasty players.
- Tyquan Thornton – WR – New England Patriots – He came back from injury and had his breakout game. Thornton could be a player to look out for with how involved he was in the Patriots offence this week.
- Greg Dulcich – TE – Denver Broncos – He was active for first time this week and showed some good signs, even catching a touchdown pass from Russell Wilson.
- Daniel Bellinger – TE – New York Giants – Well done if you got him last week! For most isn’t available anymore, but if he is, get that waiver claim in now.
- Kyren Williams – RB – Los Angeles Rams – The Rams are using people off the street at RB with the Cam Akers situation. Thus, Williams should get a shot at this job when he returns from IR.
