Dynasty Waiver Wire

A very light dynasty waiver wire this week. It was always going to be the case given the Byenado that hit. However, there are still some interesting names floating around on the dynasty waiver wire.  Let’s dive into this week’s additions (ownership percentages are from Sleeper):

Dynasty Waiver Wire – Shallower Leagues

Jamycal Hasty – RB – San Francisco 49ers – (55% Rostership)

Hasty flashed some receiving usage in his return on Sunday. I still think this backfield belongs to Elijah Mitchell but if Hasty can carve out the receiving role then he will be fantasy-relevant. The likelihood he is already rostered but in a shallower league, he could still be floating out there.

Kaliff Raymond – WR – Detroit Lions – (52% Rostership)

Raymond isn’t exactly a sexy option from a sexy offence. But any player commanding a 25% target share is interesting. The Lions have already shown themselves to have a fantasy relevant in garbage time. If Raymond continues to demand a solid target share he could be a flex play in challenging bye weeks.

Russell Gage – WR – Atlanta Falcons – (80% Rostership)

I imagine Gage is likely owned in your leagues with his current ownership percentage. However, he could have been dropped after a slow start battling injuries. Gage is the #2 receiver in Atlanta or potentially the #4 depending on how you look at things. He will have some boom weeks and is worth a roster spot in all but the shallowest of leagues.

Dynasty Waiver Wire – Deeper Leagues

Joe Flacco – QB – New York Jets – (6% Rostership)

This feels disgusting but Flacco has just been acquired by the jets and in Superflex leagues, he is a must-own. Zach Wilson suffered a PCL injury and I imagine the jets will be cautious in a lost season with their hopeful franchise QB. This means Flacco could be the starter for up to 4 or 5 weeks.

Jamal Agnew – WR – Jacksonville Jaguars – (32% Rostership)

I mentioned Agnew last week as an add and I’m doubling down. He shows incredible after-the-catch ability and Urban Meyer is talking him up at every opportunity. As the Jaguars assess their current roster. Agnew could be given the opportunity to prove himself worthy of a roster spot in future years.

Boston Scott – RB – Philadelphia Eagles – (34% Rostership)

After the Miles Sanders injury, Kenny Gainwell is the likely player to own. However, Boston Scott is the forgotten man in Philadelphia. Scott had 7 rushing attempts and 2 targets on Sunday and could carve out a useful role as the Eagles don’t want to overburden Gainwell.

Don’t waste your FAAB

In a new addition to this week’s Dynasty Waiver Wire, I thought I’d try to help you by highlighting some players I think are traps. These are guys I’m suggesting to you: Don’t waste your FAAB.

Dante Pettis – WR – New York Giants – (32% Rostership)

A first for me is a repeat player on the don’t waste your FAAB category. However, Having made an appearance last week I felt it very important to reiterate again not to bother. Pettis now has solid back-to-back performances. However, the situation hasn’t changed, there is no point adding him as the Giant’s receiving core will be intact soon and he will disappear into obscurity.

I’ll be back each week with my Dynasty Waiver Wire article on a Tuesday and my Dynasty Buys and Sells on a Friday. You can follow me @DynastyIsland and the rest of the team @5YardDynasty
