Dynasty Week 10 Waiver Wire
As we’re starting to make the playoff push the Waiver wire feels a bit dry this week but that doesn’t mean there is still a couple of option on the week 10 waiver wire Let’s dive into this week’s additions (ownership percentages are from Sleeper):
Shallower Leagues
D’Onta Foreman – RB – Tennessee Titans – 31%
D’Onta Foreman has been somewhat of a journeyman over the past few years but in Tennessee, he is doing his best Derrick Henry light impression. Ok, very light. The results weren’t very impressive with only 30 yards on his 11 carries but the takeaway for me here is the workload. We know the Titans want to run the ball and if Foreman is seeing 10 + carries a game he should be rostered.
Wayne Gallman – RB – Atlanta Falcons – 23%
Gallman was a preseason favourite of mine. He didn’t work out. Yet here we are on the week 10 waiver wire and he has returned following the injury to Patterson. Gallman saw the bulk of the work once Patterson went down and finished with 15 Carries and two targets. Now on a short week, it’s looking unlikely that Patterson goes on Thursday night meaning Gallman could be a spot start flex this week. He should be rostered in all but the shallowest of leagues.
Cam Newton – QB – Carolina Panthers – 71%
I’m Back! Those were Newton’s words. From a fantasy perspective, I’m not 100% convinced. However, you know my rules: any starting QB in a Superflex league needs to be rostered. If Newton is still available I’m not against throwing 100% of your FAAB at him because he has the chance to be a solid QB2 rest of the season if he keeps the starting job.
Deeper Leagues
Godwin Igwebuike – RB – Detroit Lions – 1%
Hands up I had no idea who Godwin was before Sunday. And that’s a guy that spent some time on the Jets practice squad. Well, he flashed on Sunday following Jemar Jefferson’s Injury. If Jefferson is going to miss time and if Jamaal Williams doesn’t return, Godwin will be the RB2 in an offence that won’t want to overwork Swift. Furthermore, Dan Campbell took over some play-calling responsibility on Sunday. That resulted in Jared Goff attempting 25 passing attempts to 45 rushing attempts. We’re getting into the weeds but at this point with the state of the week 10 waiver wire it’s worth a punt.
Don’t waste your FAAB
DeAndre Carter – WR – Washington Football Team – 15%
DeAndre Carter produced on Sunday. Pleasingly I started him in a couple of Lineups in FanTeam. Despite that, I still don’t want any part of him moving forward. Carter is electric with the ball in his hands but has never carved out more than a special team’s role in his 6-year career. I’m leaving him on the Waiver wire for anyone else to touch.
