Presidents Trophy Gameweek Review final whistle

Presidents Trophy – Gameweek 4 Review

Another crazy week produced some interesting fantasy matchups between Team USA and Team Europe, just as promised

This week ended up being huge – some big moves have been made! This week, Team USA got a point before Monday night but, before we get to that, we will start with the Captain’s matchups.

Week 4 – The Captains

To start the week we look at the battle of the 0-3 teams. Team ‘Captain America’ (The FTLS Boys) Vs ‘JoshPattenden7’ (Josh). Both teams came into this matchup down at the bottom on 0-3. This game went right down to the wire with Captain America heading into Monday Night Football with a slender lead having all players play. Josh needed 15 points to win but couldn’t quite get there which handed Captain America their first win of the year. Josh now sits alone at 0-4.

Europe’s captain ‘Team 5 Yard Rush’ (Stocks and Murf) went head to head with their big rival ‘Mr America’ (Ktompkinsii – Kevin). Just like in the US captain game above, Team 5 Yard went into Monday night with a slim lead. 9 points to be exact. Both teams had a few players to play and the final score was ridiculously close, ending 146.26-146.40 giving Mr America the win. Both teams go 2-2 for the season.

Week 3 – Team Member Matchups

Team USA got their first point of gameweek 4 before Monday night. USA’s ‘JSnakeDFF still has a number of players to play but they were not needed as Europe’s ‘AVFCJPS (James) never turned up. Every player played but they didn’t perform and inturn handed the win to the US.

Not only have we got the battle of the 0-3 teams this week but we also have the battle of the 3-0 teams. The US team of ‘GoingFor2DotCom’ (Geoff) on 3-0 went up against team Europe’s ‘Roaring Poulter’ (PittsyNFL) also sitting at 3-0. The players on team Poulter had all played by Monday and so left GF2DCom needing 17 points from Monday night. Luckily for team Europe, Roaring Poulter had just enough to get the win to grab Europe a point in a tough week.

Next up, two 1-2 teams went against each other as ‘Benedict Arnold’ (Gary Haddow) for team Europe faced USA’s ‘Mericaaaaaa F*** YEAAA’ (DrakePFSA). Drake had a healthy lead and didn’t look like losing it going into Monday night. Eventually winning by 40 points moving to 2-2 for the season.

The final matchup was between Europe’s ‘Marvellous McIlroy’ (Freddie ‘the franchise tag’ Hall) and USA’s ‘We Selected Scut Farkus’ (Shacknado – Brian). WSSF absolutely destroyed Marvellous McIlroy but wasn’t awarded the win until the final game as Mcllroy still had players to play on Monday. WSSF managed to pick up the highest score of season getting well over 240 points. The loss for the Franchise is the second in a row now taking them to 2-2 as WSSF join them with the same record.

USA come back to take the lead

With a 3rd of the fantasy season gone already here are the scores after week 3.

Europe 11 – USA 13

A massive haul for Team USA this week gives them a huge swing in points with Pittsy’s win making sure it wasn’t a full sweep for the US. Let’s see what next week brings as we move on to week 5.
