Fantasy Rankings, Week 12 – The Tower of Power

THE TOWER OF POWER – WEEK 12

Weekly Fantasy Rankings

In this regular article, we give you a lowdown of players whose fantasy performances were worthy of our top 20 this week – based on 0.5PPR format scoring.

For the interest of longevity and variety, we have only included the top 6 Quarterbacks in this list. This is to allow other offensive positions spaces on the board. Otherwise, most of the list would consist of QBs! However, we have included the weekly points rank of the players – so you can see where they lie on the overall points scoring for the week.

After DeShaun Watson topped for the Texans last week, who was the king of the tower in Week 12?

1. Tyreek Hill, WR, Chiefs – 51.4puts (1st)

What a week it’s been for the wide man. The Cheetah smashed his yard output in a single game this season by more than double. 269 yards and a season-high three touchdowns. Move over lions, the Cheetah is top of the fantasy food chain now.

2. Derrick Henry, RB, Titans – 37.5pts (2nd)

As we come to the end of the season, the Henry only gets stronger. Like the man above, Derrick Henry also got three touchdowns. He smashed his way through and around the Colts defense for 185 total scrimmage yards as well.

3. Antonio Gibson, RB, Washington – 34.1pts (3rd)

Another three touchdown player in the top 3. This was another great performance from the rookie, helping the Washington team to another win. His 20 carries got 115 yards, and his 5 completions (7 targets) got another 20. Fantasy owners who took a gamble on him, and held on, will feel the benefits this week.

4. Will Fuller, WR, Texans – 32.1puts (5th)

I’m hesitant to put Fuller in this chart after he has been caught using PEDs.

But the stats don’t just go away. 6 completions gave 171 yards and two touchdowns. Now DeShaun Watson has lost his alpha man for 2020, who can he turn to next?

5. DeShaun Watson, QB, Texans – 33.1pts (4th)

Speaking of Watson, his bumper week of four passing touchdowns gets him on this list too. Surprisingly, that came off his lowest passing attempts and completions so far this season. With 318 yards gained, it was an effective return. He also got 24 ground yards off 8 carries.

6. Patrick Mahomes, QB, Chiefs – 31.3pts (6th)

The big hitter from before his bye, Mahomes had a slump by his standards last week. Not so in Week 12! His highest pass attempts (49), completions (37) and yards (462) in one game. Tack on three touchdowns to Hill and 28 yards from carries and you’ve got yourself the week’s QB2.

7. Atlanta Falcons, DEF – 28.0pts (7th)

Last week we had the Browns as the first defense to feature on the list. Well, now we have two in two weeks! The Falcons decimated the Raiders offense and kept them from scoring a touchdown. A truly valiant performance which included plenty of fumbles, recoverys and a defensive touchdown.

8. Kirk Cousins, QB, Vikings – 26.2pts (8th)

The Vikings QUarterback is casting off his cold streak at the start of the year – he’s on fire now! The week’s match against the Panthers saw season highs in attempts and completions, even without Adam Thielen. And his three touchdowns marks a 12-1 ratio of TDs to INTs since his return from the bye week. Do not doubt this man for next week either!

9. Nick Chubb, RB, Browns – 25.1pts (=10th)

The big return continues. The Running Back has been a breath of fresh air to the Browns and Fantasy owners alike. His highest single game yard output brought out 144 yards off just 19 carries. And he got his second touchdown in three games. Plue he saw his highest target and completion count, with three caught targets for 32 yards.

10. Latavius Murray, RB, Saints – 25.1pts (=10th)

Murray has been a god-send for anyone who wanted to get fantasy value out of Taysom Hill’s arrival in the Saints team. The back saw his highest carries since Week 1, and his first 100 yard+ game. And he also got two touchdowns. Hill’s presence is giving Kamara owners headaches, but fantasy relevance to Murray once again.

11. Aaron Rodgers, QB, Packers – 25.6pts (9th)

This Quarterback can’t seem to stay away from this list. Although his pass yardage was the lowest this season, he still hit the spot. The Packers helmsman threw another four-pack of touchdowns against the Bears.

12. James Robinson, RB, Jaguars – 24.4pts (12th)

One of the main stays in any offense as been one of the most impressive. Robinson continued his hot form with his highest rush yards in a game so far, and got a touchdown for his troubles. Next up is a leaky Minnesota defense…

13. Jarvis Landry, WR, Browns – 24.3pts (13th)

The Cleveland wide man had his best game of the season, and finally got his touchdown. 143 yards off 8 completions. Is this the start of a season end streak? Who knows…

14. A.J. Brown, WR, Titans – 23.8pts (14th)

A second touchdown in as many games – and his eighth in as many as well. This fella is finding it hard not to score. 4 completions gave him 98 yards in the win over the Colts.

15. Allen Robinson, WR, Bears – 23.4pts (16th)

Regardless of who is throwing him the ball, Robinson seems to be All-en on receiving. ANother double-digit target game gave him 8 receptions for 74 yards and two touchdowns. He ran the Packers ragged.

16. Tom Brady, QB, Buccs – 23.7pts (15th)

After a horrible start to this game against the Chiefs, the veteran QB turned it around with some better throwing as the Buccs chased the game. Two interceptions played off against three touchdowns off 345 yards (27/41 atts).

Now, a bye week he’s probably needed for a few matches!

 17. Kenyan Drake, RB, Cardinals – 22.8pts (=17th)

It’s been an up and down season for the Cards Running Back. With Kyler Murray not looking his normal self, it was up to the lead back to carry the load. He saw his highest carries in this match, with 22 – going for 78 yards and a touchdown.

18. Davis Montgomery, RB, Bears – 22.8pts (=17th)

Another player who got a season-high in this week was Monty. He found his first 100 yard+ game this year, with 103 yards off 11 carries. He also caught a passing touchdown on one of his five completions (6 targets) for 40 extra yards. And, with an easier schedule coming up, we could see more!

19. D.K. Metcalf, WR, Seahawks – 22.7pts (19th)

The Beast decided to put one over on the coach who said he wasn’t quite Megatron just yet. The record suggests otherwise. And he helped that record with another 100+ yard game – his biggest of the year so far. 177 yards off 10 completions. Although he didn’t get the touchdown, PPR fantasy owners will have loved him for this.

20. Justin Jefferson, WR, Vikings – 22.5pts (20th)

In Adam Thielen’s absence comes a hero in the form of Justin Jefferson. The rookie is doing his Offensive Rookie of the Year hopes no harm in the statline he put up. The wide man gave the Panthers a torrid time, using his season-high targets effectively. 13 targets gave 7 completions and 70 yards for 2 very important touchdowns.
