I Streamed a Stream- Week 7 2020

Well Rush Nation, I had an absolute blinder this week with my stream picks. I made significant gains at Wide Receiver, Tight End and Defense. Ironically, my smash play of the week, Alexander Mattison, was the biggest let down of the week. His RB39 finish really let me down in an area that I was supposed to make significant gains. However, it’s been 2 solid weeks in a row now for my stream model.

WEEK SIX REVIEW

As previously mentioned, I was drifting away at the Wide Receiver position. However, enter Chase Claypool really came through to jump me 21 spots this week. But, had I gone with Travis Fulgham I would have climbed one more place. It only cost 0.4 but if you followed this or the Waiver Wire last week, you certainly did rather well.

Darren Fells did exactly what I expected. He got into the end zone and TE5 on the week is fantastic. I actually added a lot of Burton towards the end of the week, who ended up as the TE1 on the week. But given I make these picks on Tuesday, I am happy with the results.

Another player who did what I expected was Fitz. He just doesn’t play out of his skin as a favourite. When he had 3 Touchdowns early in the first half, I was getting excited. However, 2 picks and not a lot of yards led to Fitz missing the top 12 QBs this week. However he did still put up solid numbers.

The Giants also ended up as the D/ST 4, whilst Jason Sanders didn’t have an explosive day, but made all his kicks.

Overall, a much welcomed positive week, despite Mattison really letting me down at Running Back.

HERE IS HOW I FINISHED UP (0.5PPR SCORING):

  • Quarterback: Ryan Fitzpatrick- Dolphins- 18.04pts
  • Running Back: Alexander Mattison- Vikings- 3.5pts
  • Wide Receiver: Chase Claypool- Steelers- 16.1pts
  • Tight End: Darren Fells- Houston- 17.5pts
  • Kicker: Jason Sanders- Dolphins- 6pts
  • D/ST: New York Giants- 14pts

OVERALL POINTS TOTALS

  • Quarterback- 119.18pts 10th overall (No Change)
  • Running Back- 46.5pts 35th overall (Down 1)
  • Wide Receiver- 53.8pts 35th overall (Up 21)
  • Tight End- 55.8pts 7th overall (Up 7)
  • Kicker- 44pts 20th overall (Down 2)
  • D/ST- 47pts 5th overall (Up 4)

WEEK SEVEN STREAM PICKS

Now is the time to capitalise on injuries, byes and momentum with these picks. I’m looking forward to making some gains over the coming weeks.

Remember, I use all the Waiver Wire picks from the column on Monday. These are picks who are 30% owned or under according to ESPN.com

At this point in the season, it’s time to chase volume and follow the process of volume and letting volume lead me to the promised land.

And so, having said that, here are my picks for Week Seven:

  • Quarterback: Andy Dalton- Cowboys
  • Running Back: Boston Scott- Eagles
  • Wide Receiver: Tim Patrick- Broncos
  • Tight End: Anthony Firkser- Titans
  • Kicker: Ka’imi Fairbairn- Texans
  • D/ST: Philadelphia Eagles

I hope Andy Dalton can play better than he did on Monday Night Football. Against Washington, I can’t imagine that will be too hard.

I’ve gone for Tim Patrick to keep his streak up of 100 yard games, as the Broncos look to move the ball in the air, chasing the Chiefs. I think Fulgham could be hindered by the returns of certain players and feel he needs to get into the Endzone to give me the numbers I need.

The other picks were autopicks due to ownership numbers and match-ups, not to mention injuries. The Waiver Wire is very thin for Running Backs and D/STs. But I am going with the Eagles to get the job done vs the New York Giants on Thursday Night Football this week.

Don’t forget Rush Nation, if you wish to get involved, drop us an email at [email protected] or drop us a DM on Twitter @5YardRush.

However, until next week, when I am back with more stream picks, Keep Rushing!
