I Streamed a Stream- Weeks 10+11
Rush Nation, I am back with another I Streamed a Stream article. This week was horrific. All my skill position players really under performed, except Tight End. And investing too much in the Colts with Brian Hoyer was a mistake.
However, I ended up with not terrible Kicker and D/ST performances. But overall, due to the nightmare of byes, it was a rough week. I also hit big with Jacob Hollister which is just the boost I needed in that position
This week is still a big nightmare for byes. As such, in some positions like Wide Receiver, is really thin. I can’t see notable gains at WR or RB this week due to the thin field. There also needs to be more movement at TE as I want to be firmly in the top 6 before the end of the season. I trail 6th by 16.2 points so there is time to catch that up.
However, I still have a QB1, a TE1, a K1, and a D/ST1. But I current hold a RB4 and a WR4. For those of you who aren’t familiar, I am comparing this to the standard 12 team league and I am looking to achieve a number 1 ranked player in each position.
REVIEW
As it currently stands, I currently rank:
QB: 7th Overall- Down 2
RB: 40th Overall- Down 1
WR: 38th Overall- Down 3
TE: 8th Overall- Up 3
K: 8th Overall- No Gain
D/ST: 5th Overall- No gain
Remember, I am only using using players who are under 30% owned from when I look at the players for our Waiver Wire article on Monday.
I am not confident I will end up with a top 12 Running Back or Wide Receiver. However, if I can stream into the RB2, WR2 conversation, I will be happy.
As mentioned, Hollister was my best performance, finishing as the TE3 on the week. Kicker and D/ST were fine but need to improve at QB, WR and RB. The WR2 and RB2 goal is moving away from me very quickly.
All in all, improvement needed, but I got away with it this week, that’s for sure.
WEEK 11 PICKS
This week, I am looking to gain some positions back. Running Back seems to be the biggest challenge again this week, as will Wide Receiver. If you want to play along with me, go back to the Waiver Wire article we published on Monday.
I am also challenging any of you to a duel. Have a look at the ownership numbers on ESPN.co.uk and if you find better selections that are under 30% owned, then submit your picks and we will create a tab on the website. Trust me, it is not as easy as it looks. Not that I am making this look easy.
My stream selections for this week are as follows:
Running Back and Wide Receiver is my big concerns this week once again. There isn’t a great deal on the Waiver Wire. I have gone for Brian Hill. If Devonta Freeman is out, he has no competition for touches and the Panthers are very poor in the Red Zone. Hill could have uncontested touches for the next few weeks, depending on Freeman’s injury. However, for right now, with the limited options, he makes the most sense and he should get the volume.
As per yesterday’s Waiver Wire column, Beasley I am banking on to get a few more catches and yards. I also believe he gets into the end zone this week vs Miami.
Please go back and read the previous columns, and track the progress with me. It’s been fun so far. However, I know that it will get harder week to week, until we get to the last couple of weeks of the season. Please do also interact with us via the site or via twitter.
