I Streamed a Stream Weeks 11+12

Rush Nation, I am back with another I Streamed a Stream article. This week was much better. I certainly didn’t lose any ground in my goals to get as many top 12 finishes as possible. However, I also didn’t make a ton of gains or huge strides either. Therefore, whilst it was better, it wasn’t as good as I hoped it would be.

Brian Hill and Cole Beasley didn’t do the job for me this week, which was a shame. I thought he would have a big week. However, that never happened. Cole Beasley also didn’t get into the end zone, which was a shame.

This week is still a big nightmare for byes. Due to some injuries, the Running Back position has a chance of being somewhat successful. However, all season these second or third string guys have let me down. It is unlikely I will get a RB2 or WR2. However, I will keep grinding.

However, I still have a QB1, a TE1, a K1, and a D/ST1. For those of you who aren’t familiar, I am comparing this to the standard 12 team league and I am looking to achieve a number 1 ranked player in each position. At this point I am only 17 points off the second best Kicker overall in Fantasy Football. I also am in decent position for QB, TE and D/ST finishes.

REVIEW

As it currently stands, I currently rank:

QB:  6th Overall- Up 1
RB:  40th Overall- No Gain
WR:  37th Overall- Up 1
TE:  8th Overall- No Gain
K:  8th Overall- No Gain
D/ST:  6th Overall- Down 1

Remember, I am only using using players who are under 30% owned from when I look at the players for our Waiver Wire article on Monday.

I am not confident I will end up with a top 12 Running Back or Wide Receiver. However, if I can stream into the RB2, WR2 conversation, I will be happy.

Darnold was my best performance, finishing as the QB7 on the week. Kicker and D/ST were fine but need to improve at TE, WR and RB. The WR2 and RB2 goal is moving away from me very quickly.

All in all, improvement needed in order to reach my goals.

WEEK 12 PICKS

This week, I am looking to gain some positions back. Wide Receiver seems to be the biggest challenge this week. If you want to play along with me, go back to the Waiver Wire article we published on Monday.

I am also challenging any of you to a duel. Have a look at the ownership numbers on ESPN.co.uk and if you find better selections that are under 30% owned, then submit your picks and we will create a tab on the website. Trust me, it is not as easy as it looks. Not that I am making this look easy.

My stream selections for this week are as follows:

QB:    Sam Darnold- NYJ

RB:    Jonathan Williams- IND

WR:   Darius Slayton- NYG

TE:    Jacob Hillister- SEA

K:     Younghoe Koo- ATL

D/ST: Lions

There isn’t a great deal on the Waiver Wire. I have gone for Jonathan Williams, due to the injuries to Mack and Wilkins. With the Colts on Thursday Night Football, it is unlikely Williams will have too much competition for touches except for Hines as a 3rd down change of pace back. As there is nobody under 30% owned with his opportunity, Williams gets the nod in the stream this week.

As per yesterday’s Waiver Wire column, Slayton I am banking on to get a few more catches and yards. I also believe he gets into the end zone this week.

Please go back and read the previous columns, and track the progress with me. It’s been fun so far. However, I know that it will get harder week to week, until we get to the last couple of weeks of the season. Please do also interact with us via the site or via twitter.

Please reach out to me on twitter @5yardrush. But until another look at the stream Rush Nation, Keep Rushing.
