I Streamed a Stream Weeks 9+10

Rush Nation, it’s time for another I Streamed a Stream article. This week was a rollercoaster. I looked at my selections and was determined it was going to be a shocker with the stream. Tannehill barely featured in the highlights, Myers missed 3 kicks, Walton didn’t get a ton of workload, Beasley ignored after the Touchdown he scored and the Jets losing to then winless Miami.

However, it was not too bad. Tannehill ended up the QB5 on the week (no, I don’t know how either!), Myers as the K10, and the Jets finished in the top 10 also.

This week is a nightmare for byes. As such, it’s the thinnest Waiver Wire to date. I can’t see notable gains at WR or RB this week due to the thin field. I also need to move up at TE as want to be firmly in the top 6 before the end of the season. At the start of the second half of the fantasy season however, I have a QB1, a TE1, a K1, and a D/ST1. However I current hold a RB4 and a WR3. For those of you who aren’t familiar, I am comparing this to the standard 12 team league and I am looking to achieve a number 1 ranked player in each position.

REVIEW

As it currently stands, I currently rank:

QB:  5th Overall- Up 1
RB:  39th Overall- Down 1
WR:  35th Overall- Down 3
TE:  11th Overall- Down 1
K:  8th Overall- Up 1
D/ST:  5th Overall- Down 2

Remember, I am only using using players who are under 30% owned from when I look at the players for our Waiver Wire article on Monday.

I am not confident I will end up with a top 12 Running Back or Wide Receiver. However, if I can stream into the RB2, WR2 conversation, I will be happy.

As mentioned, Beasley wasn’t looked at after scoring his Touchdown. Also, Walton was not effective. He is now banned for four games, so no need to go back to that man for a few weeks. However Tannehill really came through for me and has sent me from the QB10 overall to the QB5 overall.

All in all, improvement needed, but I got away with it this week, that’s for sure.

WEEK 10 PICKS

This week, I am looking to gain some positions back. Running Back seems to be the biggest challenge again this week, as will Wide Receiver. If you want to play along with me, go back to the Waiver Wire article we published on Monday.

I am also challenging any of you to a duel. Have a look at the ownership numbers on ESPN.co.uk and if you find better selections that are under 30% owned, then submit your picks and we will create a tab on the website. Trust me, it is not as easy as it looks. Not that I am making this look easy.

My stream selections for this week are as follows:

QB:    Bryan Hoyer- IND

RB:    Kalen Ballage- MIA

WR:   Zach Pascal- IND

TE:    Jacob Hollister- SEA

K:     Michael Badgley- LAC

D/ST: Chiefs

I do worry about Running Back. It’s a poor outlook. There isn’t a great deal on the Waiver Wire. I have pivoted to Kalen Ballage based on the news yesterday about Mark Walton. Ballage will be uncontested for touches for four games. He isn’t a great Running Back. However, with the limited options, he makes the most sense and he should get the volume.

Please go back and read the previous columns, and track the progress with me. It’s been fun so far. However, I know that it will get harder week to week, until we get to the last couple of weeks of the season. Please do also interact with us via the site or via twitter.
