IDP Streamers – Krys For Help in WEEK 8

IDP FINDS – Krys For Help in WEEK 8

Howdy Rush Nation, welcome back to my Individual Defensive Player (IDP) arcadia. My name is Mason, and my job is to find you the top defensive fantasy streamers of the week. Only but one rule applies around these parts: each player discussed will be rostered by no more than twenty percent of fantasy managers (via Yahoo).

Last week, my players’ overall combined point total was 37.00, skyrocketing past the combined projection of 22.79. That has my count continuing to trend on the positive side at +17.53 above point since the article first began in week 6.

Halloween is among us, so put on a Ghoulish face, grab some sweets, and stuff your face with players so capable of big games that it’s SCARY!

DEFENSIVE LINEMAN

David Onyemata- New Orleans Saints -0% Rostered- @ CHI (2.88 projection)

Despite only having 18.50 points on the year, David is the play in New Orleans this week with such a small projection, and he averages around 50% of the time on the field. Chicago has allowed 15 sacks on the year, and their offense continues struggling to find an identity.

Emmanuel Ogbah- Miami Dolphins- 5% Rostered- VS LAR (4.88 projection)

“The Nigerian Nightmare” had to make the list this week against an underperforming Los Angles offense. He has earned 9 points or more in his last 3 of 4 contests (the other was a bye week).

LINEBACKERS

Robert Spillane- Pittsburgh Steelers- 2% Rostered- @ BAL (4.28 projection)

With one of the main men down in “The town of Steel,” Spillane has seen a tremendous increase in the defensive field time and less time on special teams. With Baltimore’s ability and tendency to continuously run the ball, I like Spillane’s odds of making an impact on this game.

Krys Barnes- Green Bay Packers- 3% Rostered- VS MIN (0.00 projection)

There is no error here, folks; despite having no projected points all year for Barnes, he has been balling on the defensive side of the ball this year, averaging 6.66 points per game (SHRIEKS IN TERROR)

DEFENSIVE BACKS

Johnathan Abram- Las Vegas Raiders- 9% Rostered- @ CLE (6.32 projection)

Abram missed last week’s game due to the COVID-19 protocol. If he gets cleared, he will be a useful piece in your lineup this week, as he always seems to leave it all on the field every week. (2 tackles for loss and 1 Interception in 5 games this season)

Denzel Ward – Cleveland Browns- 3% Rostered- VS LVR (4.78 projection)

Ward has played insanely this season with 11 pass deflections and one interception on the year thus far. Vegas has thrown the ball thirty plus times in every contest this year.

ROOKIE WATCH

A.J. Terrell -Atlanta Falcons – 0% Rostered- @ CAR (3.75 projection)

Aside from last week, Terrell has had three tackles in every contest making his projection quite realistic this week against Teddy B. and his Panthers. Carolina has thrown five interceptions this year and tosses the pigskin around thirty times a game, allowing the rookie a great amount of IDP opportunity to show why the Falcons drafted him.

DOUBLE OR NOTHING!!!

Tashaun Gipson Sr.- Chicago Bears- 3% Rostered- VS NO (3.31 projection)

Last week I thought Gipson’s killer points streak would continue, and boy was I wrong. He seemed to all but have disappeared after halftime of his Monday night matchup (one tackle and one pass deflection). New Orleans is a ”middle of the road matchup” (Thomas and Sanders sidelined), so Gipson has the potential to be involved in a substantial amount of plays. Not to mention Chicago’s secondary is allowing the lowest completion rate in the league (57.1)

That is all I have for this Halloween week; a thousand thank yous for reading. So far, my yearly total is 53.84 projected points, and 71.37 actual points. My line is always open; here’s to week 8, and happy IDP streaming, Rush Nation…

Stay spooky, gang!
