IDP Streamers Week 10 – “Honeycomb Holcomb”
Howdy Rush Nation, welcome back to my Individual Defensive Player (IDP) arcadia and welcome to IDP Streamers Week 10. My name is Mason, and my job is to find you the top defensive fantasy streamers of the week. Only but one rule applies around these parts: each player discussed will be rostered by no more than twenty percent of fantasy managers (via Yahoo). Last week, my player’s overall combined point total was 32.0, and the combined projection of all players was 25.37 points. That has my count at +58.16 above projection since the article first began back in week 6.
DEFENSIVE LINEMAN
John Simon- New England Patriots- 1% Rostered- VS BAL (3.12 projection)
Simon leads all Patriot lineman being on the field for just under ninety percent of defensive snaps. Baltimore leads the league in rushing attempts per game, giving Simon ample opportunity to outperform his small projection.
Trey Henderson- New Orleans Saints- 4% Rostered- VS SF (4.17 projection)
San Francisco’s offensive line has struggled all year allowing twenty-three sacks thus far. New Orleans’ defense hurries the quarterback on ten percent of snaps, and San Francisco attempts over thirty throws a game. Expect Henderson to easily display just how injured the 49ers are.
LINEBACKERS
A.J.Klein – Buffalo Bills- 0% Rostered- @ ARI (5.15 projection)
Arizona rushes almost thirty-two times per game. Buffalo blitzes on thirty-six percent of dropbacks and Murray likes to run. I like Klein’s odds of making a difference in this game despite him only being on the field less than sixty percent of defensive snaps.
B.J. Goodson- Cleveland Browns- 11% Rostered- VS HOU (2.74 projection)
B.J. is on the field for nine of every ten defensive snaps and an active tackler. Houston is ranked thirtieth in plays per game. Goodson is a projection smasher; he has yet to miss the mark, and this week’s 2.74 projection is as good as beat.
DEFENSIVE BACKS
Rasul Douglas- Carolina Panthers – 0% Rostered- @ TB (1.78 projection)
Opportunity is knocking this week for Douglas as Tampa Bay averages throwing the pigskin around thirty-eight times a contest. Rasul has the second most snap percentage of any Carolina defensive back, not to mention he has surpassed his projection every game that he has been active in this year.
Anthony Harris- Minnesota Vikings- 1% Rostered- @ CHI (4.27 projection)
Chicago averages the highest average passes per game in their last three contests. Harris is on one-hundred percent of defensive snaps, and is a very active tackler.
ROOKIE WATCH
Logan Wilson -Cincinnati Bengals – 0% Rostered- VS PIT (4.33 projection)
Wilson is a sporadic starter for Cincinnati and is active for about half of all defensive snaps. The greenhorn has already intercepted the ball twice this year and has three tackles for a loss on record. I believe the divisional matchup will bring the best out of him.
DOUBLE OR NOTHING!!!
Cole Holcomb- Washington Football Team- 1% Rostered- @ DET (5.06 projection)
Since calling Cole’s coming out party in week seven he has been all smiles as he has seen his defensive snaps increase by twenty percent. Detroit has passed the ball an average of forty-one times in the last three games and Holcomb is very active in pass coverage as he already has an interception on the year.
That is all I have for this upcoming IDP Streamers Week 10; a thousand thank yous for reading. My total thus far is 109.41 projected points and 167.57 actual points. My line is always open; here’s to week 10, and as always, happy streaming Rush Nation!
