IDP Streamers Week 13 – “Klein on You Crazy Diamond”

Howdy Rush Nation, welcome back to my Individual Defensive Player (IDP) arcadia and my IDP Streamers Week 13 selections. My name is Mason, and my job is to find you the top defensive fantasy streamers of the week. Only but one rule applies around these parts: each player discussed will be rostered by no more than twenty percent of fantasy managers (via Yahoo).

(DL)Brent Urban- CHI vs. DET- 0% Rostered- (0.89 projection)

Detroit has allowed thirty-one sacks on offense this season. Urban is a part of a rotation; however, he has seen an increase in snap counts in recent weeks and can play multiple positions on the defensive line.

(DL)Leonard Williams- NYG @ SEA- 6% Rostered- (4.39 projection)

Williams averages just under fifty plays per contest and have six sacks on the season. Seattle allows only over three sacks per game and has one of the worst lines in the NFL. The Giants are the second-best in the league at knocking down the opposing quarterback.

(LB)Leonard Floyd – LAR @ AZ- 1% Rostered- (3.42 projection)

Floyd is a tenacious tackler who is no stranger to the backfield, as he has seven sacks on the season. I expect Floyd to show out in this NFC West battle; this is only his second contest against Arizona. (1 Tackle in 2018 matchup) Los Angles is among the bottom six teams in missed tackles on the season.

(LB)Haasan Reddick –AZ vs. LAR- 1% Rostered- (4.56 projection)

Reddick is a multi-purpose defender who is utilized best by creating havoc in the backfield. The Rams’ offensive line is a mess, and Haasan could be the reason Los Angles offensive woes continue this week.

(DB)Anthony Harris- MIN vs JAC – 2% Rostered- (4.81 projection)

Jacksonville throws the ball an average of thirty-six times a game; Mike Glennon has a career average yards per attempt of a little over five yards and has thrown twenty interceptions in twenty-three games started. Harris is no stranger to contact as he has forty-two tackles on the season.

(DB)Jalen Mills – PHI @ GB – 1% Rostered- (2.75 projection)

Do not let the hair fool you; this Dante Pettis lookalike is a fierce competitor. Mills is on the field for over ninety percent of defensive snaps. Jalen has yet to perform under his fantasy projection this season.

(LB)Kamal Martin – GB vs PHI – 0% Rostered – (1.56 projection)

When Martin has been healthy this season, he has done about what you would like to see out of a rookie backer. The Eagles lead the league in sacks allowed with forty-one; after logging his first sack last Sunday, I expect Kamal to see the field more this week.

(DL)Derek Wolfe – BAL vs. DAL – 0% Rostered- (3.63 projection)

Whenever this contest takes place, Wolfe has the stuff to make a difference in it. The Cowboys have given up thirty-one sacks on the year, and their offensive line will show you this weekend just how injured they are. Wolfe will have more than enough opportunity to rack up fantasy points for your fantasy squad.

(DL)Dorance Armstrong – DAL @ BAL – 0% Rostered- (0.00 projection)

Armstrong is the fourth defensive lineman as far as the snap count goes. The Ravens average around sixty-three plays of offense per game this season; Armstrong is on defense for a third of that time; however, he is due for a sack game.

(LB)Dre Greenlaw – SF vs. BUF – 5% Rostered- (7.30 projection)

“Big Play Dre,” as he has come to be called around the Bay Area, has been a diamond in the rough for San Francisco. In nine games played during the year, Greenlaw has five or more points in all but one contest. Greenlaw’s fantasy points come primarily from tackles; Buffalo averages in the mid-sixties in offensive plays per away game, and Dre is in on about ninety percent of defensive snaps.

(LB) A.J. Klein – BUF @ SF – 4% Rostered- (5.95 projection)

Klein makes his way back on the weekly list, and for good reason as he is still one of IDP’s best-kept secrets. A.J. has been playing lights out and has fifty-one fantasy points in the last three games. San Francisco likes to control the defensive edges by running the ball and then counters with quick play-action across the middle, a perfect storm for Klein to post another big week.

(DB)Xavier Woods – DAL @ BAL – 1% Rostered- (4.63 projection)

Despite Dallas’s record, they are in the top third in quarterback hurries per passing play. Baltimore’s passing attack has had a tough go at it thus far this season, and I don’t expect things to change this week. Woods has fifty-seven combined tackles on the year and is on the field for just about every defensive snap for the Cowboys.

(DB)Jason Verrett – SF vs. BUF – 0% Rostered- (1.56 projection)

Verrett averages just under sixty snaps a game and is making the most out of his time, emerging as the recent number two corner behind all-pro Richard Sherman. Jason has surpassed his fantasy projection every week that he has been active and has been quite the success story this season. Buffalo averages forty-one passes per game when they are the away team.

That is all I have for this IDP Streamers Week 13 slate; a thousand thank yous for reading and good luck in your final push to your fantasy playoffs. My line is always open; here’s to week 13, and as always, happy streaming Rush Nation!
