College Betting Picks Game Week Two

Kesh’s College Fund: Week 5

Vegas saved themselves millions in Week 4 thanks to a shock loss for Oklahoma. Despite the Sooners’ loss, Kesh (@Keshy6) went 13-4 in his picks last week. Anything above 55% is a good week, so we hope you made some extra pocket change to go into Week 5 of the College Football season.

Kesh looks ahead to this week’s college football slate, sprinkling a bit of Vegas in there and giving his predictions on each game from the Top 25.

Please note, all the lines are courtesy of SkyBet at the time of writing. Lines are subject to change.

Louisiana Tech @ BYU (-23.5)

BYU, who played the last game on Saturday night last week, will play the first Week 5 game on
Friday night. They face a defence that gives up too many points, but equally an
offence who scores points just as well. BYU on the money line for me, but I’d avoid putting them into your parlays as they could be ruined before Saturday even starts.

TCU @ Texas (-11)

TCU were involved in one of the weirdest Pick 6s you’ll ever see in your life last week. What amazed me more that Texas Tech put up some serious fight against Texas last weekend. Get the line before it moves. Texas wins and covers.

North Carolina State @ Pitt (-14)

One of my best picks last week was Pitt coming through as winners against an emotional Louisville last weekend. Momentum is in their favour after NC State was crushed by Virginia Tech. Pitt wins in Week 5, the spread is a bit too high for me at present but if it goes below -10 I’ll take it. Pitt wins outright for sure nonetheless.

Missouri @ Tennessee (-11.5)

Both Missouri and Tennessee covered in a tough one at South Carolina and Alabama respectively last week. Missouri will once again fall short at the hands of the Volunteers. I’m not sure -11.5 is a good number, so wait to see which way it starts to move. Tennessee on the money line is a lock.

South Carolina @ Florida (18)

Was it just me or did the Gators look good last week? Kyle Trask is a legitimate contender for the Heisman and the Gamecocks will not have enough firepower to battle with this Florida team in Week 5. Florida wins and covers the spread, but only just.

Memphis (-2) @ SMU

The Over/Under for this is already at 73.5. Expect this one to be a shoot out but just fall short of the total. Memphis’ defence will hold SMU and they’ll run the clock out in the second half. I lean towards Memphis on the money line but under 73.5 is looking too good to resist.

Oklahoma State (-20) @ Kansas

Despite their horrible showing in Week 3, OSU showed up and covered in Week 4. Their offence is clicking and defence is coming through, if OSU can get off to a quick start they will cover easily.

South Florida @ Cincinnati (-22)

Cincinnati are coming off a hard fought victory against a strong Army team and they’ll want to get this one over with quickly. South Florida coming out of a week off will be looking for redemption after a poor showing against Notre Dame. Cincinnati on the money line looks good, but my money is going on the over at 46.5.

Texas A&M @ Alabama (-17)

The Aggies did not look that good against Vandy last weekend which is why I’ll be hammering Alabama to win and cover in Week 5. The Crimson Tide will want to start securing a playoff spot early on.

North Carolina (-14) @ Boston College

North Carolina will be fresh after a week off. This is too good of an opportunity to miss out on with Sam Howell leading the reins for the Tar Heels. Book it, Tar Heels to win and cover.

LSU (-20) @ Vanderbilt

Vanderbilt managed to restrict A&M to just 17 points last weekend & their defence will be looking to do the same against LSU. I called the LSU upset last week and I’ll call it again this week, but only by the spread margin. Vandy covers.

Oklahoma (-7.0) @ Iowa State

Have you ever seen a worse loss than the one Oklahoma was involved in last week? They will have had their ears blown off by Coach Riley and expect them to come out, win and cover against an Iowa State team that I still can’t get my head around.

Arkansas @ Mississippi State (-18)

Arkansas somehow managed to get blown out by a precarious Georgia team in Week 4. Mike Leach will do the same to the visiting team this weekend. Expect them to continue the momentum from their amazing opening victory against LSU into Week 5. Mississippi State wins and covers.

Tulsa @ UCF (-21.5)

UCF plays fast, and I mean real fast. UCF will win outright, but the total is 71.5. That’s far too much for a team like Tulsa. Hammer the under.

Auburn @ Georgia (-7)

I didn’t like Georgia last week, and I don’t like them again this week. This will be a game I’ll be passing on. I’ll be simply sitting back and enjoying it.

Virginia @ Clemson (-28)

Clemson v Virginia is an ACC Championship rematch from last year. Will it be the same outcome? You can bet on it. Will Clemson cover as easily as they did last year? That is to be questioned. Clemson have had a week off to prepare for this so lump on Clemson to cover 4 touchdowns. It’s a big ask, but that Clemson side can do it.

Kesh’s Week 5 Pick 6:

Tulsa @ UCF – Under 71.5
TCU @ Texas – Texas -11
Oklahoma @ Iowa State – Oklahoma -7
Memphis @ SMU – Under 73.5
Missouri @ Tennessee – Tennessee money line
North Carolina @ Boston College – North Carolina (-14)
