Week 3 wasn’t quite as hectic as week 2 was with injuries but it was still a crazy gameweek with several random players stepping up. Monday was the day to seal the deal for Europe!

Here’s how week 3 went down for the President’s Trophy.

As standard Team Europe took an early point confirming a win before the Monday game but so did Team USA.

Team Europe’s ‘Roaring Poulter’ (PittsyNFL) went into Monday night 7 points up on USA’s ‘We Selected Scut Farkus’ (Shacknado – Brian) still having a QB and TE to play. In the end, Roaring Poulters finished 25 points ahead taking them to 3-0 for the season.

The US team of ‘GoingFor2DotCom’ (Geoff) managed to grab their point before the Monday game too. Before Monday, GF2DCom was 60 points ahead and still had an RB to play. ‘JoshPattenden7’ (Josh) stays winless and goes 0-3. The final score ended 200-131. This win also takes GF2DCom to 3-0 for the season.

Week 3 – The Captains

This week we had the big one. Captain Vs captain, Team
‘Captain America’ (The FTLS Boys) Vs ‘Team 5 Yard Rush’ (Stocks and Murf). It was a huge opportunity to get some mini-podcast bragging rights early on in the season. Captain America had a slight lead going into Monday night. They had a lead of 7 points but had no players to play, unlike Team 5 Yard Rush who had an RB to play. Eventually, the bragging rights headed Europe’s way as the game finally finished 149-138. This win for Europe keeps Captain America winless for the season as he slips to 0-3.

Week 3 – Team Member Matchups

Team USA’s ‘Mr America’ (Ktompkinsii – Kevin) headed into the Monday night game 40 points behind the 0-2 SFB9 winner ‘Benedict Arnold’ (Gary Haddow) for team Europe. Benedict Arnold had no more players to play and had to wait to see how many Mr America could claw back. In the end, it wasn’t enough and Benedict Arnold gets their very first win and take a point for Europe.

Two 1-1 teams went head to head this week as Europe’s ‘AVFCJPS (James) faced USA’s ‘Mericaaaaaa F*** YEAAA’ (DrakePFSA). This game was the lowest scoring of the week and AVFCJPS took a slim lead into the Monday game. Eventually, AVFCJPS took a scrappy point for team Europe after the scores finished 127-92.

‘Marvellous McIlroy’ (Freddie ‘the franchise tag’ Hall) had a fantastic start to the season pulling in 2 wins. Leading into Monday night with only 14 points it didn’t look good for a 3rd win. USA’s ‘JSnakeDFF (Jacob) came back from behind and took the win and grabbed Team USA’s 2nd point of the week.
