Each week I will be diving into the competition’s match ups and keeping you updated with how things are looking week to week. Before the upcoming gameweek, there will be a rundown of all the matchups in the league and any shenanigans that may have gone down between the two teams midweek. Who’s winning and who’s losing?

Week 3 – The Captains

Every week I kick things off with the captains and look at who they play. Week 2 was a bad week for both the captain’s Teams as they both gave up a point.

This is the week we have all been waiting for. Captain Vs captain, Team
‘Captain America’ (The FTLS Boys) Vs ‘Team 5 Yard Rush’ (Stocks and Murf). This is a massive opportunity to get some mini-podcast bragging rights early on in the season. Captain America has a lot riding on this one as a loss would mean starting the season 0-3.

Week 3 – Team Member Matchups

Team USA’s ‘Mr America’ (Ktompkinsii – Kevin) went 1-1 in week 2 and will look to get back to winning ways as he faces a surprising 0-2 SFB9 winner ‘Benedict Arnold’ (Gary Haddow) for team Europe. Benedict Arnold needs to find that win or risk an 0-3 start to the season.

Two 1-1 teams go head to head this week as Europe’s ‘AVFCJPS (James) faces USA’s ‘Mericaaaaaa F*** YEAAA’ (DrakePFSA). AVFCJPS look to carry on winning ways as MFY hope a losing streak doesn’t evolve.

‘Marvellous McIlroy’ (Freddie ‘the franchise tag’ Hall) pulled out another fantastic win in week 2 and look to make it 3 wins on the trot as they face USA’s ‘JSnakeDFF (Jacob) currently on 1-1. JSnakeDFF comes into this matchup on a high after beating the SFB9 champion.

The next matchup is an 0-2 team going up against a 2-0 team. The US team of ‘GoingFor2DotCom’ (Geoff) Carried on winning ways in week 2 and will look to pile more misery onto the winless ‘JoshPattenden7’ (Josh) of team Europe. Right now this game could go either way.

The final matchup sees USA’s ‘We Selected Scut Farkus’ (Shacknado – Brian) taking on Team Europe’s ‘Roaring Poulter’ (PittsyNFL). WSSF had a loss in week 1 but came back strong in week 2 with a win so will want to take that winning mentality into the game against the 2-0 Poulter team. The Roaring Poulters had to come from behind to make sure they carried on their winning streak in week 2. Looking at this matchup they will need to channel that magic again to sneak this win.

After week 2 the scores are Europe 6 – USA 6. With some interesting matchups this week, who will pull away?
