Get The Win – Presidents Trophy – Week 7 Review
Team USA takes 3 before Monday. Three games were wrapped up for the win before the Monday night game and they all went the way of Team USA meaning they get the win.
The first game was taken with easy as ‘Captain America’ (The FTLS Boys) destroyed Europe’s ‘Marvellous McIlroy’ (Freddie ‘the franchise tag’ Hall). This time around it was definitely not a close game compared to week 1. Captain America made sure this mini-series ended 1-1 for the season. Captain America has their second win of the season and sits at 2-5 as Mcllroy goes 4-3.
USA’s ‘JSnakeDFF (Jacob) took the 2nd win for the USA. They got one back over the week 1 loss to Europe’s ‘Roaring Poulter’ (PittsyNFL). This was also Poulters second loss in a row and for the season. Both teams now sit at 5-2
The 3rd win went to USA’s ‘Mericaaaaa F*** YEAAA’ (DrakePFSA). He took his 2nd win over Europe’s ‘JoshPattenden7’ this season. Josh had a 2 game winning streak heading into this weekend but the streak ended here. Drake goes 4-3 as Josh goes 2-5.
Some comfort at least
For team Europe, captain ‘Team 5 Yard Rush’ (Stocks and Murf) went up against USA’s ‘We Selected Scut Farkus’ (Shacknado – Brian). By the end of Sunday night, 5Yard Rush was already 80 points ahead and didn’t look back. Monday night just confirmed the win and made sure 5 Yard Rush stay unbeaten against WSSF. Both teams go to 3-4 for the season.
Europe’s ‘Benedict Arnold’ (Gary Haddow) went into Monday night with a 34 point lead with all his players having played. USA’s ‘GoingFor2DotCom’ (Geoff) had it all to do to get anything from this game. By the end of Monday night it was a great comeback but just wasn’t enough as Benedict Arnold win by 8.5 points. Both teams now sit at 3-4
The final matchup was ‘Mr America’ (Kevin Tompkins) facing Europe’s ‘AVFCJPS’ (James). It was all but over by the end of Sunday but both teams had players to play on Monday night. Mr America made sure he got a clean sweep and took his 2nd victory over AVFCJPS. Both teams now stand at 4-3.
As things stand
After a crazy first half of the season, both teams are back together all square.
