SEC Quick Snap Week 6
SEC Quick Snap Week 6
It’s a great week for SEC conference play. Unless you’re Auburn. They play Georgia.
(8) Tennessee @ LSU
There are a lot of DUDES in this game. Knowing Tennessee, something wild and unpredictable will happen, but the real reason you should be watching this game is the DUDES on both sides of the ball.Cedrick Tillman isn’t likely to be back after a recent surgery, but Hendon Hooker is must-watch prospect TV. Kayshon Boutte only has 11-97-0 so far this season but if Daniels can get the passing attack going he could pop off for a huge day against this leaky Tennessee defence.
Arkansas @ (23) Mississippi State
This game could go in any direction, but most likely towards a migraine with those incessant cowbells. Transitive properties say the Bulldogs win big. They beat A&M, and A&M beat Arkansas. We all know that isn’t how it works, especially when the Hogs have a rushing threat like Raheim ‘Rocket’ Sanders. Expect a close one.
Missouri @ Florida
Luther Burden confirmed he will be staying at Mizzou after the 5 star WR deleted all mention of the Tigers from his social media. Right now, there’s not much about Mizzou that’s interesting apart from LB Ty’Ron Hopper, a Jan Florida transfer who has 32 tackles and ranks second in the SEC with 7 ½ tackles for loss. He only trails Alabama star Will Anderson. Anthony Richardson has had at least one turnover in each game, so be on the lookout for draft Twitter to definitely not overreact if he throws another.
Auburn @ (2) Georgia
Pain. If you’re an Auburn fan, that is. I’m looking forward to watching Tank Bigsby go up against a defence loaded with future NFL players, but I’m not imagining it’ll be pretty. Georgia should win easily, and if it’s by 35+ then look for Harsin’s head to roll. Also, Brock Bowers. Georgia needs to get him the ball more. TE1 for the 2023 draft and it isn’t close.
(9) Ole Miss @ Vanderbilt
Jaxon Dart throwing all over the Vanderbilt defence is going to be fun to watch. Vandy knows how to score points too, although the Ole Miss defence has shown up this year. Jonathan Mingo should have a big day at WR.
South Carolina @ (13) Kentucky
This should be a get right game for the Wildcats but Beamer has had his Gamecocks playing hard so far this season. Antone Wells Junior for SC and Dane Key for UK are definitely worth tuning in for on the prospect side of things. This could be a sneaky close one if Kentucky doesn’t show up strong.
Texas A&M @ (1) Alabama
It’s the revenge bowl for Saban. After last year’s defeat in College Station and the war of words in preseason, this is without a doubt the game of the weekend in the SEC. Will Anderson’s worst game last season was this fixture, so expect a man on a mission when he steps on the field. Regardless of whether it’s Bryce or Jalen Milroe, the Tide rolls. Alabama may be, for the first time, completely healthy at receiver so we should see a bunch of guys make plays on this weak Aggie secondary. Max Johnson has been ruled out with a broken hand and every Bama fan in the world squealed in delight when they were reminded that Zach Calzada already transferred to Auburn.
