Starts and Sits Week 15
Welcome to the Fantasy Play-Offs. Talk about dealing with adversity! COVID has landed, teams are riddled with it. You thought last week’s start’s / sit’s mattered. However, this week your skill will be tested to the limit. That’s why Starts and Sits Week 15 is so important.
As always we have your back, with Starts and Sits Week 15.
Starts and Sits Week 15 Quarterbacks
My top-ranked Quarterbacks for Week 15 are:
- Allen @ CAR
- Murray vs DET
- Herbert vs KC
- Mahomes vs LAC
- Prescott @NYG
Start QB 1- Matthew Stafford vs SEA
Since Stafford’s return from bye, he has been money. Facing 3 difficult matchups he has 68 fantasy points and 9 touchdowns. He faces the Seahawks are only allowing 17 fantasy points to opposing QB’s but I like Stafford’s hot streak to continue.
Start QB 2- Kirk Cousins @CHI
Cousins has had 6 games on the bounce with at least 2 touchdowns and the matchup this week is favourable, start Cousins here.
Sit QB 1- Cam Newton @ BUF
Newton will likely be the starter in week 15 and despite having a rushing touchdown in every game since his return, as a passer, it hasn’t been a pleasant watch.
Sit QB 2- Carson Wentz vs NE
Wentz passed 22 times for one touchdown in week 13 and now returning off his bye, I see the Colts leaning on the run. The Patriots are holding opposing quarterbacks to just 13.5 fantasy points per game, sit Wentz if you can.
Starts and Sits Week 15 Running Backs
My top-ranked Running Backs for Week 15 are:
- Ekeler vs KC
- Mixon vs SF
- Mattison vs CHI
- Kamara @ TB
- Harris @ TEN
Start RB 1- D’Onta Foreman @ PIT
The matchup here is great, the Steelers just can’t stop the run, with Henry still out, I like Foreman again this week.
Start RB 2- David Montgomery vs MIN
Montgomery could go on a full repeat of last season, he has very favourable matchups and he is likely to have a day against the Vikings.
Start RB 3- James Robinson @ HOU
The stars have aligned, head coach Meyer has been sacked and the Jags face the Texans, who are 5th worst against the run. Fingers crossed, Robinson is unlocked in week 15.
Sit RB 1- Aaron Jones @ BAL
If Jones is fit, you will play him, after all, he has helped you make it this far. But, I want to point out that he has sat during the week due to illness, he faces stiff opposition and has earned the right to get touches.
Sit RB 2- Chuba Hubbard @ BUF
Hubbard is not CMC, far from it. If he didn’t find the end zone last week he walks away with 3.3 fantasy points. The Bills are decent against running backs this rear and when the Panthers do get in and around the goal line you can expect Newton to steal Hubbard’s touches.
Sit RB 3- Miles Gaskin vs NYJ
The matchup is great here, but Gaskin finds himself on the COVID list, he is vaccinated so 2 negative tests can clear him to play. Proceed with caution.
Starts and Sits Week 15 Wide Receivers
My top-ranked Wide Receivers for Week 15 are:
- Adams vs BAL
- Kupp @ SEA
- Hill vs LAC
- Jefferson vs CHI
- Johnson @ TEN
Start WR 1- DeVante Parker @NYJ
Against the Jets, receivers production has been low because you can run at will against them. Gaskin and Waddle are on the COVID list so I like Parker’s targets to see an increase this week.
Start WR 2- Van Jefferson vs SEA
Since returning from the bye, Jefferson has been on fire and I like the touchdown run to continue this week against the Seahawks.
Start WR 3- Darnell Mooney vs MIN
Mooney’s production over the past two weeks has not been great but there is room for optimism, he is still seeing decent targets. Against a favourable matchup, I like Mooney to come through for fantasy manager this week.
Sit WR 1- Terry McLaurin @ PHI
The matchup this week is not ideal, the Eagles secondary has been very good against receivers. If that wasn’t enough, how about hearing that McLaurin’s QB has tested positive for COVID. Sit him, if you can.
Sit WR 2- Jerry Jeudy vs CIN
Jeudy and the Broncos host the Bengals, they are allowing nearly 30 points to opposing wide receiver groups and Jeudy is due a big game. I can’t trust him, I will be sitting him this week.
Sit WR 3 – Michael Pittman vs NE
Pittman was the Colts leading receiver last week but here against the Patriots, I feel the plan will be to run, run and run some more. The Patriots have been solid against receivers and this is an important week for you. Sit Pittman if you can.
Starts and Sits Week 15 Tight Ends
My top-ranked Tight Ends for Week 15 are:
- Kelce vs LAC
- Kittle @ ATL
- Gronkowski vs NO
- Andrews @ GB
- Knox @ CAR
Start TE 1- Ricky Seals-Jones @ PHI
Seals-Jones has a great fantasy playoff schedule, a shame it’s not Logan Thomas out there. Washington features the tight end in their offence and with their starting QB out this week, the tight position is often a backup’s comfort blanket. It’s a punt but one I’m willing to take.
Start TE 2- Dallas Goedert vs WAS
Fresh off his bye week and scoring 28.50 fantasy points on his last outing, Goedert will be looking to have a day against Washington who are allowing 9.41 fantasy points, I’ll take that.
Sit TE 1- Tyler Conklin @ CHI
This one is personal; I have just lost Hockenson for the season so I picked up Conklin. Luckily for me, I have a bye this week and I don’t need him for week 15. Sit him here, the matchup is not good.
Sit TE 2- C.J Uzomah @ Broncos
Before last week he has 6 weeks of poor production, the matchup here is not good. Sit him with confidence.
