Listener League 1 Point PPR - Review

The 5 Yard Rush 1 point PPR Listener league Week 9 Review

By Andy Pitts

It’s time for the Week 9 Review for the 5 Yard Rush 1 Point PPR Listener league. This league is hosted on Sleeper.

We are getting right into the business end of the fantasy season now and one team has pulled clear of the rest of the league and the first to secure a place in the championship playoffs. Two teams fighting for the last playoff spot kept the pressure on as 2nd and 3rd place have a mare and drop away from 1st.

Week 9 Review

Leader of the pack Dermy (Taco Corp) is now 8-1 for the season and even if they lost for the rest of the season they wouldn’t drop past the final cut off. This week they beat Rich (Pats20Chad). Pats20Chad were sat in the elusive 8th spot and final playoff position but with the loss drop down to 10th on 2-7

Before the weekend 5 teams were fighting it out for that 8th spot. One of those was Shaun (Team Spedding). This week they had a tough Matchup going up against the highest scoring team of the league, Martin (Lucky Fantasy Guy). The game was settled by just 12 points and Spedding got a huge win to keep in the running for the playoffs. They go 9th on 3-6 as LFG stays in 2nd but drops 2 games back from 1st on 6-3.

The Race for 8th

The next team fighting for that 8th spot are Stocks and Murf (the 5 yard rush podcast). They faced 3rd place Ethan (ETurnerFF). They got a big win moving them up to 8th on 3-6 and into the playoffs. ETurnerFF drop to 4th on 6-3

Dave (The Jazz Purists) moved on to 6-3 for the season and climbed to 3rd. They beat bottom of the league Jamie (NorthWealdPats). NWPats stay at the bottom and one game back from the playoffs on 2-8.

The 5th team in the running for the final playoff spot is Pittsy (Pitts Burk Stinkers). They have had the most points scored against them so far this season but it makes no difference when you score the fewest points of the gameweek. Matt (Brady-o-GaGa) took full advantage and got the win scoring the 2nd fewest points of the gameweek. The Stinkers drop to 2-7 and 11th as Brady-oGaGa go 5th on 6-3

Tyler (Long Live ’76) and Jacob (Team JBarner) faced each other in the final Matchup this week. JBarner got the win and went equal with LL’76 on 5-4. Both teams are now 2 games ahead of 8th place with 4 games to go.

Until week 10, Keep Rushing.
