Waiver Wire – Week 10 2022
WAIVER WIRE WEEK 10
The turn has happened and your playoffs are in sight. We had six byes in Waiver Wire Week 9 and it looks like we will have four byes in Waiver Wire Week 10. Injuries and trades help change the landscape of every league. However, there is an opportunity to find a diamond in the rough, which could mean the difference between playing for the championship or playing in the toilet bowl.
Remember, this article contains players rostered in 30% or less in total leagues. Ownership data is coming from ESPN.com Fantasy Football.
QUARTERBACKS
Jimmy Garoppolo(SF)18.7%-VS-LAC
Coming off of a week 9 bye, Jimmy Garoppolo and the 49ers will be facing the Los Angeles Chargers. In week 8 they played the Los Angeles Rams. Jimmy Garoppolo went 21/25 for 235 yards and 2 touchdowns. He finished the day with 17.7 FPTS. The Chargers are giving up 14.86 FPTS to the quarterback position.
In 7 games, Garoppolo is averaging 15.4 FPTS a game for the season.
Jacoby Brissett(CLE)7.5%- @ – MIA
Jacoby Brissett is also coming off a week 9 bye. Week 8 he threw 17/22 and 278 yards with 1 touchdown, and 1 fumble. While rushing 6 times for 12 yards and 1 touchdown, getting 20.32 FPTS for the game. Week 10 has the Cleveland Browns traveling to Miami to face the Dolphins. The Dolphins are giving up 22.18 FPTS to the quarterback position after 9 games.
RUNNING BACKS
Kenneth Gainwell(PHI)8.4%-VS-WSH
On Thursday night Gainwell had 4 rushes for 22 yards and f1 touchdown. He also had 3 receptions for 16 yards, finishing the night with 12.8 FPTS. Next week he faces the Washington Commanders who are giving up 17.87 FPTS to the running back position.
Gainwell is a touchdown-dependent Running Back. Right now he is seeing 26.7% of the snaps behind Miles Sander’s 60.5%. The Commanders are averaging 17.7 points per game, while the Eagles are getting 28.1 points per game. Look for the Eagles to score early, like they have been doing and go to the run to slow down the clock. Gainwell should see more usage as the season continues.
WIDE RECEIVER
Donovan People-Jones(CLE)12.9%-@ -MIA
Like Jacoby Brissett, Donovan People-Jones is coming off a bye week. Week 8 he had 4 receptions for 81 yards and no touchdowns for 12.1 FPTS. He will be facing the Dolphins in Miami for week 10, where they give up 21.32 FPTS to the wide receiver position.
Terrace Marshall Jr,(CAR)8.0%-VS-ATL
For the second week in a row, Terrace Marshall finished with double digit fantasy points, scoring 14.3 FPTS. He had 3 receptions for 53 yards and 1 touchdown. Next week has the Carolina Panthers facing division rival Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons are giving up 29.28 FPTS to the wide receiver position.
TIGHT END
Greg Dulcich(DEN)29.5%-@ – TEN
Like most of the other players on today’s list, Greg Dulcich will be coming off a bye week heading into week 10. In week 8 he had 4 receptions for 87 yards and 12.7 FPTS. Week 10 has the Denver Broncos traveling to Tennessee to face the Titans. The Titans are giving up 6.89 FPTS to the tight end position.
Missing the first 5 games of the season hasn’t slowed down the rookie Tight End. He is making a connection in Denver and being very consistent. In his first three games he has scored 12.4, 11.1, and 12.7 FPTS per game. If he can keep this up at this rate, look for him to finish as a top 5 tight end for the season.
KICKER
Will Lutz(NO)12.2%-@ -PIT
At the time of this being written, Will Lutz had not played yet. He has a week 9 Monday night matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. Week 8, Will Lutz was 1 for 2 on field goals and 3 for 3 on extra points for 5.0 FPTS against the Raiders. Week 10 has him facing the Pittsburgh Steelers where they are giving up 7.62 FPTS to the kicker position.
Lutz is our WAIVER WIRE WEEK 9 and WAIVER WIRE WEEK 10 kicker.
DST
Seattle Seahawks-25.1%-@ -TB
The Seahawks had 1 fumble recovery and 5 sacks against the Arizona Cardinals for 10 FPTS in their week 9 win. Week 10 has them traveling to Tampa Bay to face the Buccaneers.
