Waiver Wire – Week 16 2022

WAIVER WIRE WEEK 16   

Welcome to the playoffs! Hope you have managed your team well and you’re coming into the playoffs like a locomotive. On the other hand, your team might have had to fight the entire season with injuries and some bad games to be able to just limp into the playoffs. Either way, you’re there and it’s time to finish strong. And that’s where the Waiver Wire comes in.

Remember, this article contains players rostered in 30% or less in total leagues. Ownership data is coming from ESPN.com Fantasy Football.

QUARTERBACKS 

Brock Purdy (SF) 22.5% VS WSH

Brock Purdy completed 17 of 26 pass attempts for 217 yards and two touchdowns, while getting 16.48 FPTS. Next week the 49ers will face the Washington Commanders as they travel to San Francisco. The Commanders are giving up 16.67 FPTS to the quarterback position.

Andy Dalton (NO) 12.9% @ CLE

Andy Dalton completed 11 of 17 pass attempts for 151 yards and two touchdowns and two rush attempts for one yard. He finished the day with 14.14 FPTS. Week 16 has the Saints traveling to Cleveland to play the Browns. The Browns are giving up 14.44 FPTS to the quarterback position.

 

RUNNING BACKS 

Jaylen Warren (PIT) 8.4% VS LV

Jaylen Warren had 11 rushes for 38 yards and one touchdown. He also had one reception for 11 yards while finishing the day with 11.9 FPTS. Next week the Raiders come to Pittsburgh for the 50th Anniversary of the Immaculate Reception. The Raiders are giving up 20.59 FPTS to the running back position.

Zack Moss (IND) 0.7% VS LAC

Zack Moss had 24 rushes for 81 yards and no touchdowns. He finished the day with 8.1 FPTS. If Jonathan Taylor can’t play week 16, look for Moss to split carries with Deon Jackson against the Los Angeles Chargers who are giving up 21.95 FPTS to the running back position.

 

WIDE RECEIVERS 

Mecole Hardman (KC) 26.9% VS SEA

Mecole Hardman is on IR but has a chance to come off this week. His last four games before going on IR, he had 17 receptions for 226 yards with five touchdowns. He averaged 18.28 FPTS over those four games. Next week they play the Seattle Seahawks at Kansas City. The Seahawks are giving up 17.44 FPTS to the wide receiver position.

Rashid Shaheed (NO) 0.8% @ CLE

Rashid Shaheed had three receptions on four targets with 95 yards and one touchdown. He finished the day with 18.5 FPTS. The Saints travel to Cleveland to play the Browns. The Browns are giving up 21.23 FPTS to the wide receiver position.

 

TIGHT ENDS 

Juwan Johnson (NO) 15.5% @ CLE

Juwan Johnson had four receptions on six targets for 67 yards and two touchdowns. He completed the day with 22.7 FPTS. Next week the Saints will play the Browns in Cleveland. The Browns are giving up 5.36 FPTS to the tight end position.

 

KICKERS 

Chris Boswell (PIT) 25.7% VS LV

Chris Boswell was one for one on field goals and was three for three on extra points. He finished the day with 8 FPTS. Next week the Steelers play the Raiders in Pittsburgh. The Raiders are giving up 7.64 FPTS to the kicker position.

 

DST

Jacksonville Jaguars 7.6% @ NYJ

The Jaguars had 11 FPTS Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys. They had one touchdown, two interceptions and three sacks. Week 16 has them traveling to New York to play the Jets.
