WAIVER WIRE WEEK 17   

 

Christmas has come and gone, and the time is upon us to get ready for another week of fantasy football championships. Don’t know if Santa brought you the gift you were hoping for in week 16, but we hope it was a win and not a lump of coal. Some teams are playing for their championships this week and the brave ones will play next week. Let’s look at some waiver wire players that are available and maybe help push you across the finish line this week.

QUARTERBACK 

Brock Purdy (SF) 28.6% – @ LV

Brock Purdy completed 15 of 22 pass attempts for 234 yards and two touchdowns and one interception, while getting 15.96 FPTS for the day. Next week the 49ers travel to Las Vegas to play the Raiders. The Raiders are giving up 18.79 FPTS to the quarterback position.

Gardner Minshew (PHI) 27.1% – VS. NO

Garder Minshew completed 24 of 40 pass attempts for 355 yards, two touchdowns,two interceptions and one fumble. He finished the day with 22.7 FPTS for the day. The New Orleans Saints travel to face the Eagles in week 17. The Saints are giving up 15.93 FPTS to the quarterback position.

 

RUNNING BACK 

Chuba Hubbard(CAR) 26.3% – @ TB

Chuba Hubbard had 12 rushes for 125 yards for 12.5 FPTS on Saturday. Next week the Buccaneers will travel to Carolina to play against the Panthers. The Buccaneers are giving up 14.25 FPTS to the Running Back position.

 

WIDE RECEIVER  

Jahan Dotson (WSH) 30.1% – VS. CLE

Jahan Dotson had six receptions on nine targets for 76 yards and one touchdown. He finished the day with 19.6 FPTS. The Commanders will play the Cleveland Browns next week. The Browns are giving up 20.09 FPTS to the wide receiver position.

Richie James (NYG) 2.3% – VS. IND

Richie James had eighth receptions on 12 targets for 90 yards. For the day he had 17 FPTS. Next week the Giants will take on the Colts. The Colts are giving up 18.64 FPTS to the wide receiver position.

 

TIGHT END  

Juwan Johnson (NO) 23.7% – @PHI

Juwan Johnson had one reception on two targets for 9 yards. He finished the day with 1.9 FPTS. The Saints travel to Philly to face the Eagles next week. The Eagles are giving up 5.37 FPTS to the tight end position.

 

KICKER   

Eddy Pineiro (CAR) 3.6% @ TB

Eddy Pineiro was three for three on field goals and four for four on extra points for 14 FPTS for the day. Next week the Panthers travel to Tampa Bay to face the Buccaneers. The Buccaneers are giving up 5.87 FPTS to the kicker position.

DST

Jacksonville Jaguars 15.5% @ HOU

The Jaguars had 13 FPTS against the New York Jets in week 16. They had one interception, one fumble recovery and three sacks. Week 17 has them traveling to Houston to face the Texans.
