WAIVER WIRE WEEK 18  

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

If your fantasy football championships are set for week 18, I just have one thing to say, May The Force Be With You! Hopefully your team has a lineup of players that are on teams still trying to secure a playoff spot. If your team has players that are going to be rested, because they already have a secured playoff spot, then you have your work cut out for you. So Week 18’s waiver wire may have players that can help push you to the finish line and secure your championship. However, you will need to do some research to make sure which players will be playing and which will be sitting.

We have put together a list of some of the players that we like their matchups and feel good about their playing status in Week 18.

Remember, this article contains players rostered in 30% or less in total leagues. Ownership data is coming from ESPN.com Fantasy Football.

QUARTERBACK  

Mac Jones(NE) 10% – @BUF

Mac Jones completed 20 of 33 pass attempts for 203 yards and two touchdowns. He finished the day with 16.22 FPTS. Next week the Buffalo Bills travel to New England to face the Patriots. The Bills are giving up 13.17 FPTS to the Quarterback position.

Jarrett Stidham (LV) 0.5% – VS. KC

Jarrett Stidham completed 23 of 34 pass attempts for 365 yards, three touchdowns, two interceptions. He also had seven rush attempts for 34 yards, finishing the day with 26 FPTS. Next week the Raiders play the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs are giving up 19.87 FPTS to the Quarterback position.

 

RUNNING BACK 

JaMycal Hasty (JAX) 3.5% – Vs. TEN

JaMycal Hasty had 10 rushes for 33 yards and one touchdown, six receptions for 23 yards while finishing the day with 17.6 FPTS. The Jaguars go against the Tennessee Titans in week 18. The Titans are giving up 14.09 FPTS to the Running Back position.

 

WIDE RECEIVER

DJ Chark(DET) 31.9% – @GB

DJ Chark had two receptions on four targets with 56 yards. He finished the day with 7.6 FPTS. Next week the Lions travel to Green Bay to play the Green Bay Packers for a playoff spot. The Packers are giving up 19.44 FPTS to the Wide Receiver position.

Tyquan Thornton (NE) 0.8% – @BUF

Tyquan Thornton had three receptions on seven targets for 60 yards and one touchdown. He finished the day with 15 FPTS. Week 18 has the Patriots traveling to Buffalo to play the Bills. The Bills are giving up 22.08 FPTS to the Wide Receiver position.

 

TIGHT END 

Brock Wright (DET) 0.2% – @GB

Brock Wright had three receptions on four targets for 13 yards and two touchdowns while getting 16.3 FPTS for the day. The Lions are going to Green Bay next week to play for a playoff spot. The Packers are giving up 6.32 FPTS to the Tight End position.

 

KICKER

Randy Bullock(TEN) 1.0%- @ JAX

Randy Bullock was two for two on field goals and one for one on extra points for 7.0 FPTS. The Titans travel to Jacksonville to face the Jaguars for a week 18 playoff spot. The Jaguars are giving up 6.75 FPTS to the Kicker position.

 

DST 

Detroit Lions 3.6% – @ GB

The Lions had one interception, one fumble recovery and seven sacks for 16 FPTS against the Chicago Bears in week 17.  They travel to Green Bay for week 18 to face the Packers for a playoff spot.
