Rolling into our third bye week has left some managers scrambling to put a line up together. But, with only two teams on bye for week 8, most lineups look to be secure, but in fantasy football nothing is as it seems. As always, injuries lead to opportunities in fantasy football.
When you’re a fantasy football manager, there is just one job – managing your line-up. For 18 weeks we stress and agonize over the players we start, knowing that one bad decision could cost us a place in our playoffs. However, Waiver Wire Week 8 is the place to start looking down the road and seeing what players you might need to pick up to make a run into your playoffs.

QUARTERBACKS
DANIEL JONES (NYG) 28.7% – @SEA
Daniel Jones leads his team to their 6th win of the season. Jones threw 19/30 for 202 yards and 1 touchdown, while rushing 11 times for 107 yards and 1 touchdown. He finished the day with 28.78 FPTS. Next week the Giants travel to Seattle to face the Seahawks, where they are giving up 15.8 FPTS to the quarterback position.
JIMMY GAROPPOLO (SF) 25.6% – @LAR
Jimmy G was 25/37 for 303 yards, 2 touchdowns, 1 interception and 1 fumble. Finishing the day with 16.32 FPTS. The LA Rams are coming off a bye week and will host the 49ers for a week 8 matchup. Currently the Rams are giving up 13.13 FPTS to the quarterback position.
RUNNING BACKS
GUS EDWARDS(BAL) 13.1% – @TB
Gus Edwards rushed 16 times for 66 yards and 2 touchdowns to finish the day with 18.6 FPTS. Week 8 has the Ravens traveling to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who are giving up 14.83 FPTS to the running back position.
On his first game back from having a knee injury from 2021, Gus Edwards brought the bus and carried the Baltimore Ravens to a 23-20 win over the Cleveland Browns. With J.K. Dobbins out 4 to 6 weeks with a knee injury, it looks like Edwards will be the lead in the Ravens backfield.
CHUBA HUBBARD(CAR) 24.7% – @ATL
Chubba Hubbard rushed 9 times for 63 yards and 1 touchdown. He also had 2 receptions for 10 yards finishing the day with 15.3 FPTS for the game. Next week the Carolina Panthers will travel to Atlanta to face the Falcons.
With the departure of Christian McCaffrey, the door is open for Hubbard to take the lead in Carolina. It will be a committee with D’Onta Foreman in the mix. Freeman is available in 34.4% of the leagues.
WIDE RECEIVERS
WAN’DALE ROBINSON(NYG) 13.5% – @SEA
Wan’Dale Robinson had 6 receptions on 8 targets for 50 yards and 11 FPTS. The NY Giants face the Seahawks in Seattle next week. The Seahawks are giving up 17 FPTS to the wide receiver position.
PARRIS CAMPBELL(IND) 2.7% – VS – WSH
Parris Campbell led the Colts with 12 targets and 10 receptions for 70 yards and 1 touchdown. He finished the day with hsi best output for the season with 23 FPTS.
Over the last three games, Campbell has seen an increase in his production. He is second on the team with a 19.5% target share for the last three games. It looks like Campbell is taking the steps to be the second option in the passing game or the Colts.
TIGHT ENDS
GREG DULCICH (DEN) 7.6% – @JAX
In only his second game of the season, Greg Dulcich had 6 receptions on 9 targets for 51 yards, finishing the day with 11.1 FPTS. The Broncos travel to Jacksonville to face the Jaguars for the week 8 game. The Jaguars are giving up 5.06 to the tight end position.
KICKER
WILL LUTZ (NO) 7.0% – VS. LV
Will Lutz was 2 for 2 on field goals and 4 for 4 on extra points for 11.0 FPTS. The New Orleans Saints will face the Las Vegas Raiders for week 8. The Raiders are giving up 5.83 FPTS to the kicker position.

Minnesota Vikings-11.4%-VS- ARI
The Vikings are coming off a bye week. In week 6 they faced the Miami Dolphins. They had 2 interceptions, 1 fumble recovery and 6 sacks. Finishing with 8.0 FPTS. Week 8 has the Vikings hosting the Arizona Cardinals.
